Multi-Game Arcade Cabinet
Based on your answers, this is the perfect starting point.
Know your options

Every type of machine, honestly explained

No jargon. No sales pitch. Just what each machine is, who it’s for, and what it costs.

💡
Expert tip: The biggest mistake first-time buyers make is buying for “the feature list” rather than how they’ll actually use it. A 10,000-game cabinet sounds amazing — but if you only ever play 5 games, a cheaper targeted machine is smarter. Be honest with yourself before you buy.
Beginner friendly 🕹️ £800 – £2,500

Multi-Game Arcade Cabinet

  • Typically 70cm × 90cm footprint
  • Great for pubs and bars too
  • 1,000+ game versions available

Do you have enough space?

The most common post-purchase regret is space. Measure first. Buy second.

📐
Measure your door first. Standard UK doors are 76cm wide. Most upright arcade cabinets are 65–75cm wide and will fit — but check before ordering. If in doubt, WhatsApp us your door width and we’ll confirm your machine will fit.

The pre-buy checklist

Run through these 8 questions before any purchase. They’ve saved hundreds of buyers from expensive mistakes.

  • 1
Measured your room AND your door? Get the exact width of any doorway the machine needs to pass through — hallways too. Machines get stuck in corridors, not just doorways.
  • 2
Is there a nearby 240v socket? Most machines need to be close to a wall socket. Extension leads work fine, but you don’t want a trip hazard across the room. Plan the cable run.
  • 3
Is the floor strong enough? Pinball machines weigh 100–150kg. Pool tables more. Most UK domestic floors handle this fine, but if you’re upstairs in a flat or an older property, it’s worth considering.
  • 4
Who else lives there? Arcade machines make noise. If you share walls or have family members who’ll object to the sounds of Street Fighter at 10pm, factor this in. Some machines have volume controls; all can be turned off.
  • 5
Are you buying for now or forever? A multi-game cabinet that plays 2,000 games gives variety. A single-theme pinball machine gives depth. Both are right for different people. Know which you are.
  • 6
Have you checked the product dimensions on the listing? Every product page lists exact dimensions. If the listing doesn’t have them, WhatsApp us and we’ll get them immediately — don’t guess.
  • 7
Is delivery access clear? Think about the full route from the street to the final position. Narrow hallways, 90° corners, stairs, and low ceilings all affect delivery. Contact us before ordering if you have any doubts.

Buying guide FAQs

A claw machine or multi-game arcade cabinet are both excellent for families with young children. Claw machines are immediately engaging for kids of any age and need no gaming knowledge — they just want to win a prize. A multi-game cabinet gives access to hundreds of age-appropriate classics. Avoid pinball as a primary family machine — it’s harder to learn and more expensive to repair if mishandled.
Yes — many of our machines are commercial grade and built for exactly this purpose. Cocktail table cabinets work brilliantly in pubs. Coin-operated pool tables are purpose-built for venues. If you’re buying for commercial use, WhatsApp us and we’ll point you to the right machines — some are commercial-grade, some are home edition only.
These are Stern’s product tiers. The Pro is the entry-level version — still an excellent machine, with the core gameplay and artwork. The Premium adds extra physical toys, more complex mechanisms and enhanced lighting effects. Premium machines also tend to hold their value better. The LE (Limited Edition) is the top tier — numbered, unique art, and rare. For most first-time pinball buyers, Pro is the right starting point.
Quality arcade machines are built to last decades — the original 1980s cabinets are still running today. Modern machines from reputable manufacturers use standardised, replaceable parts. With normal home use and occasional part replacement (joysticks and buttons wear fastest), a well-maintained cabinet will outlast almost any other entertainment purchase you make. Pinball machines are especially durable.
It can be — but only if you know what to look for. The risks with private used purchases are hidden faults, missing parts, cosmetic damage and no warranty. When Tower to Tower sells refurbished machines, we list them clearly with condition details. Our 1-year warranty applies to refurbished machines too. If you’re considering buying privately elsewhere, we’d recommend getting us to help you inspect it first — WhatsApp us a photo and we’ll give you an honest view.
