Overview

The Elaut Big-E is a walk-in crane machine where the player physically enters the play area and operates an overhead gantry crane via an oversized joystick. The claw starts at the player’s direct left, travels across the prize bay, and can lift prizes up to 13 lbs — a capacity beyond what conventional crane cabinets support. A mirrored back wall deepens the apparent size of the prize space, and a sensor-triggered automatic door controls prize delivery at the reinforced bin positioned facing the player.

Key Features

Immersive Walk-In Play Area

The left side of the cabinet extends outward to encase both the claw’s starting position and the prize bin, wrapping the player rather than leaving them at a flat front face. The player stands inside the structure with the claw origin at their direct left, the prize bin also at their left and oriented toward them — a configuration that differs from every standard crane cabinet where the player faces an exterior panel throughout the play cycle.

6 kg Claw Capacity

The claw and coil system is rated for prizes up to 6 kg (13 lbs), covering giant plush toys at a size tier that standard cranes cannot reliably pick. For lighter oversized merchandise, different claw and coil configurations accommodate items in the 250 to 1,350 gram range, including oversized puffer balls, knobby balls, and vinyl balls.

Mirrored Back Wall

The rear interior of the prize bay uses a mirrored surface to visually extend the apparent depth of the play space. From the player’s position inside the cabinet, the prize field reads as larger than its physical dimensions — an effect that is visible to bystanders looking in from outside as well.

Sensor-Triggered Automatic Prize Door

The prize bin is reinforced and fitted with a sensor that triggers the door to open only when a prize is actually delivered. The door remains closed during play and between cycles, keeping the bin inaccessible until the sensor confirms a drop has occurred.

RGB LED Lighting and Audio

RGB LED T-molding runs the cabinet perimeter and the oversized joystick is backlit. Digital music and sounds play in both attract and active gameplay modes, providing audio cues that are audible from the surrounding floor.

How It Plays

The player walks into the cabinet, picks up the oversized backlit joystick, and guides the gantry as it travels from the claw’s starting position at their left across the prize bay. They press to drop — the claw descends from above and attempts to grip a prize weighing up to 6 kg. A successful grab carries the prize back to the bin at the player’s left; the sensor detects the delivery and the reinforced door opens toward the player to release it. From outside the cabinet, bystanders watch the overhead crane traverse the full width of the prize field with the player visibly standing inside the structure beneath it.

Ideal Placement

The Big-E’s 108-inch height and roughly 98-by-101-inch footprint require open floor areas with adequate ceiling clearance. Best suited for large arcades, family entertainment centers, and shopping mall entertainment zones where ceiling height and aisle width can accommodate the cabinet’s dimensions. The overhead gantry reads most clearly in venues with high ceilings and open sightlines to the floor.
