Overview

The ICE Super Chexx Pro is the only bubble hockey game with electronics that support coin-operation, making it the standard choice for commercial operators. Built with an indestructible Lexan polycarbonate dome, a smooth playing surface, and a durable polyethylene base, the cabinet is engineered for long-term use in high-traffic environments. Manufactured by ICE in Buffalo, NY since 1982, each unit is hand-built to order and arrives mostly assembled — setup requires approximately 15 minutes with two people.

Coin-Op Electronics

The Super Chexx Pro is the only dome hockey brand with built-in electronics designed to accept coin mechanisms, making it purpose-built for revenue-generating commercial installations. A coin-door arcade version is available as a configuration option at time of order.

Lexan Polycarbonate Dome

The protective dome is constructed from Lexan polycarbonate — the same material used in ICE’s Arena Rink Mat — providing an indestructible enclosure that keeps play self-contained and withstands continuous commercial use.

Jumbotron Scoreboard with Dual LCD Displays

Two 5-inch LCD displays serve as an in-game jumbotron scoreboard, tracking the match in real time and adding to the broadcast atmosphere of each game.

Authentic Audio and Announcing

The Super Chexx Pro features Rick Jeanneret voice-over announcing, U.S. and Canadian national anthems, a boo button, stadium noise, and live-action crowd and game sounds. Animated replays trigger on scoring plays to reinforce the competitive, broadcast-style feel of each match.

Customizable Team Graphics

The game features custom silk-screened graphics on side panels and center ice logo. Operators can select from NHL, USA Hockey, and Hockey Canada licensed editions. A total of 36 hand-painted team options are available, with players choosing any two teams to face off. Automatic Puck Return and Overtime

The game includes an automatic puck return system and overhead dome lighting. If a match is tied after regulation, the game automatically goes into overtime to ensure every game produces a winner.

Durable Commercial Construction

The cabinet uses a Lexan polycarbonate dome, standard ICE ice surface, and a polyethylene base available in red or black. ICE hand-painted players are included as standard. The construction is designed to withstand the demands of continuous commercial play.

Dual Voltage Power Support

The game operates on either 110V at 1.50 amps or 220V at 0.75 amps, providing flexibility for both domestic and international venue installations. A standard 120V three-prong power cord is included.

Made in the USA

Every Super Chexx Pro is hand-built at the ICE factory in Buffalo, NY. Replacement parts, service manuals, and upgrade kits are available directly from ICE, supporting long-term serviceability for operators.

How It Plays

Two players face off in a head-to-head dome hockey match, each controlling all five hand-painted player rods plus a goalie beneath the protective Lexan polycarbonate bubble. Players maneuver their team across the ice surface to score goals while national anthems, Rick Jeanneret announcing, stadium noise, and dual LCD jumbotron displays add atmosphere throughout the match. Animated replays trigger on scoring plays, and ties automatically advance to overtime to ensure a definitive outcome every game.
