A redemption game with the object of getting tic tac toe with the rubber balls. The balls are popped using actuators from beneath the playfield. The player also has the option of saving the place of the balls and repopping the balls that werent saved.
Hop A Tic-Tac-Toe was produced by Data East in 1991.

Hop A Tic Tac Toe features 1 black and 3 yellow balls that are blown upwards by a burst of air when the player presses the big green button. When the balls land, the player gets to choose one ball that they want to remain in place. This ball is selected by pressing the corresponding yellow button on the cabinet.
Once a ball has been chosen, the player presses the green button again to blow the other balls into the air again. The goal is to have three balls land in a row and win a ticket payout. If the black ball lands in the centre hole and a 3 in a row is achieved, the player receives a bonus payout. |
