Overview

The Cornilleau 500X Outdoor is a full-size table tennis table designed and manufactured in France for year-round outdoor use. Its 6mm high-pressure laminate playing surface with MATTOP anti-glare coating delivers consistent bounce quality across all weather conditions — heavy rain, snow, and extreme heat included. Tapered steel legs with an Aluzinc corrosion-resistant coating, a 50mm frame, and Compact Technology folding system combine structural rigidity with practical storage and mobility.

Key Features

6mm High-Pressure Laminate Playing Surface

The solid resin laminate top is engineered to withstand outdoor conditions without warping, swelling, or degrading. Thicker surfaces produce more consistent, truer bounce, and the 500X’s 6mm thickness provides reliable play quality for all skill levels. The surface resists paddle impacts and physical wear without showing marks.

MATTOP Anti-Glare Coating

The MATTOP finish reduces solar glare intensity tenfold compared to an uncoated surface. This allows outdoor play in direct sunlight without visual interference, regardless of the angle of the sun relative to the playing surface.

Aluzinc-Coated Steel Frame

The 50mm (2-inch) frame is constructed from steel with an Aluzinc coating — a corrosion-resistant alloy of steel, aluminum, and zinc. This coating provides long-term protection against rust and oxidation in outdoor environments. All metal components on the table have been selected and treated for weather resistance.

DSI Locking System — 16 Points

The patented DSI locking system secures the table at 16 points in both the open (playing) and closed (storage) positions. A built-in safety feature automatically locks the table at a 65-degree angle during opening. The table opens and closes via a single accessible handle, and the Compact Technology folding system reduces bulk and prevents the two halves from splaying apart when stored.

3D Adjustable Swivel Feet and Oversized Double Wheels

Each leg is fitted with a 104mm 3D adjustable swivel pad that compensates for uneven terrain — lawn, soil, gravel, or sand — without requiring the table to be lifted. The lime-green adjustment ring allows easy leveling by hand. For mobility, oversized double wheels (32 x 200mm) are mounted at the base, designed to roll smoothly over outdoor surfaces and navigate obstacles with minimal effort. Two wheel brakes lock the table in place during play or storage.

Integrated Accessory Storage

The 500X includes storage for 4 paddles, 6 balls, 2 accessory/pocket holders (vide-poches), and accommodates a bottle on each side of the table. Score counters are mounted on both ends and can be flipped away under the table when not in use. The adjustable net deploys automatically when the table is opened, with height and tension adjustable via a dial and pull-string mechanism respectively.

The 500X plays as a full regulation-size outdoor table with a surface response suitable for players ranging from casual to competitive. The 6mm laminate top produces a consistent, medium-paced bounce typical of quality outdoor tables, and the MATTOP coating allows uninterrupted outdoor play in sunny conditions.
