Overview

The Cornilleau 400X Outdoor is a full-size table tennis table designed and manufactured in France for year-round outdoor use. Its 5mm resin laminate playing surface and Aluzinc® alloy frame are rated to withstand rain, heat, snow, and general impact without warping or corroding. The table carries FFTT leisure-class approval and meets EN 14468 Class C European Standards.

The 400X combines COMPACT TECHNOLOGY® folding, a patented DSI 16-point locking system, oversized outdoor double wheels, and 3D-adjustable swivel feet — making it straightforward to position and store on uneven outdoor surfaces while keeping handling safe for all ages. It is available in Grey and Blue finish options.

5mm Resin Laminate Playing Surface with SOFTMAT Anti-Glare Coating

The 5mm solid-core laminate top delivers consistent rebound quality suited to everyday recreational play. It is engineered to resist heavy rain, snow, extreme heat, and bat impacts without warping or marking. The SOFTMAT finish reduces sun glare by a factor of three compared to an uncoated surface, keeping the playing field clearly visible in direct sunlight.

Aluzinc® 50mm Frame

The frame is constructed from Aluzinc®, a corrosion-resistant alloy combining steel, aluminum, and zinc. At 50mm in depth, it provides robust structural support for the playing surface and resists rust and environmental degradation over time. All metal components include an anti-corrosion coating as standard.

Patented DSI 16-Point Locking System with COMPACT TECHNOLOGY®

The patented DSI system secures the table at 16 points in both the open and folded positions. A single accessible handle manages opening and closing, and a built-in auto-relock feature engages at 65 degrees if the handle is released mid-fold, preventing uncontrolled unfolding. The COMPACT TECHNOLOGY® folding design reduces the overall footprint in storage, lowers the table’s center of gravity to minimize tipping risk, and closes the gap between folded panels — a practical safety consideration when children are present.

Oversized Outdoor Double Wheels and 3D Swivel Feet

The 400X rolls on oversized double wheels measuring 32 x 200mm, purpose-designed for outdoor movement over grass, gravel, soil, sand, and uneven paving. The wheels make the table easy to maneuver, including around tight corners. Two integrated brakes lock the table in position during play and storage. At the base of each tapered leg, a 3D-adjustable swivel pad (104mm diameter) compensates for uneven ground without requiring the table to be lifted — the adjustment collar is turned to level the surface independently of the foot contact point.

Integrated Accessories Storage, Net, and Point Counters

Built-in storage in the side panels holds up to 4 paddles and 4 balls, keeping accessories organized at the table. Two point counters are mounted on the table frame and fold away beneath the surface when not in use. The tension-adjustable folding net deploys with the table and slots into position automatically; net tension is checked and adjusted without tools via a simple tensioning mechanism.

10-Year Warranty and 20-Year Reparability

Cornilleau backs the 400X Outdoor with a 10-year manufacturer warranty. The table is designed for reparability for up to 20 years after purchase, with replacement parts available through Cornilleau’s service network. It is manufactured in France.

How It Plays

The 5mm laminate surface produces a reliable, consistent bounce suited to casual and recreational play for beginners through intermediate players. The SOFTMAT anti-glare coating keeps the surface clearly visible in bright outdoor conditions, and the 3D swivel feet ensure the playing surface remains level regardless of the ground beneath. Mounted point counters on both ends keep the score visible to both players throughout a match.
